⚠️ What's New (Revised for 2024–25 & Beyond)

The AP Psychology course was significantly revised starting in the 2024–25 school year. Major changes include:

  • 5 units instead of 9, based on the APA's recommended core content domains.
  • Fewer MCQs (75 instead of 100) with 4 answer choices instead of 5.
  • Two new FRQ types: the Article Analysis Question (AAQ) and the Evidence-Based Question (EBQ).
  • Fully digital exam administered through the Bluebook testing app.
  • Science practices now include argumentation skills and research methods & data interpretation.
💡 Study Tip

Focus on understanding psychological concepts through real-world application, not just memorization. Practice with the new FRQ formats—the AAQ tests your ability to analyze research studies (identify methods, variables, statistics, and ethics), while the EBQ requires you to build an evidence-based argument from multiple sources. Mastering the four science practices (Concept Understanding, Research Methods & Design, Data Interpretation, and Argumentation) will sharpen both your critical thinking and your AP exam performance.
